BackThe Directive 97/68/EC regulates the type approval process and the emission of gaseous and particulate pollutants from internal combustion engines to be installed in non-road mobile machinery.
It applies to compression ignition engines (diesel engines) and positive ignition engines (petrol engines), which are installed in mobile machinery, including locomotives and inland waterway vessels. The Federal Chamber of Labour is taking part in this consultation to point out the important aspects of this Directive with regard to occupational health and safety and environmental protection.
