The Austrian Federal Chamber of Labour (BAK) expressly welcomes the Proposal for a directive on representative actions for the protection of the collective interests of consumers (COM (2018) 184), the aim of which is the effective assertion of consumers’ rights. However, in the opinion of the BAK, the details still need some supplementation or amendment.
