Events
BackAK EUROPA and ÖGB Europabüro cordially invite you to the following event:
A recently published study on discrimination in Austria shows that intersecting forms of discrimination in different areas of life are a reality for 44 % of people in Austria. Almost every second person experiences discrimination on the grounds of gender, marital status, age, (perceived) ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, disabilities and/or social status.
In light of the new legislative period and the upcoming Commission, the event takes stock of past and future policy and legislative measures at EU level tackling discrimination. The aim of the high-level panel discussion is to explore the future of the so-called Horizontal Directive, initiatives for an inclusive gender strategy and appropriate measures allowing for an adequate protection of all citizens against discrimination on both EU and national level.
