The Austrian Chamber of Labour sees the Commission’s “Farm to Fork” strategy (F2F) as an important milestone in the creation of a socially acceptable, climate-friendly agricultural and food production system. Special attention should be given on creating measures that are socially just towards workers and consumers:

• Full implementation of the F2F goals within the Common Agricultural Policy
• Improved working conditions for workers in agriculture
• Higher standards to ensure a healthy and sustainable food production system
• Comprehensive and clear information for consumers through good labelling systems
• High safety and sustainability standards in trade agreements
