The Austrian Federal Chamber of Labour (AK) as the legal representation for about 3.2 million employees and consumers in Austria considers it necessary to speedily drive forward the harmonisation of certain social legislation relating to road transport at EU level and to create common bases to enable the efficient and strict control of these provisions. <br />
