The Austrian Federal Chamber of Labour (BAK) views gender equality as a key element of a socially just society and therefore expressly welcomes the European Commission’s action plan to tackle the gender pay gap. While we consider all measures set out in the action plan to be important and useful, in our view the following two actions are of particular importance.
