BackThe further development of consumer protection in the area of the European telecommunications market is an issue of particular interest to the Federal Chamber of Labour (AK). It therefore welcomes the efforts of the EU Commission to promote the European internal market in electronic communications.
It also, however, emphatically advocates that, when this is done, the needs of consumers must be given due regard. With this in mind, the AK is taking the liberty of taking a position on the current draft, in particular on the chapter „Harmonised rights of end-users“, as follows.
