The Brussels Offices of the Austrian Federal Chamber of Labour (AK EUROPA) and the Federal Ministry of Arts, Culture, Civil Service and Sport (BMKÖS) invite you to the joint film screening of the movie "FOR THE MANY - The Vienna Chamber of Labour".

The Chamber of Labour (AK) has been an established social partner organisation in Austria for decades, but its role at EU level is quite unique. As the legal body which represents the interests of employees and consumers in Austria, AK is the contact point in Austria for people fighting for their rights. The documentary "FOR THE MANY - The Vienna Chamber of Labour" describes this unique institution at a key moment of its long history: In direct cinema style, director Constantin Wulff portrays AK during the preparations for its 100th anniversary. The movie gives insights into how AK's tasks have changed with digitalisation and globalisation. The outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic becomes the next big challenge.

FOR THE MANY is the portrayal of an institution between a rich past and an uncertain future - as well as the exceptional situation of the current societal challenges. How far can AK also be a model for other EU member states?
